Kitchen Install
We replaced an old set of kitchen units and worktops with new units supplied by Wren kitchens. It was the first time that we'd used their kitchens but was impressed with the quality and nothing was missing. The client is going to be replacing the wall tiles and floor vinyl.

Fencing
Here the clients wanted to replace an old privet hedge which had become overgrown with a closeboarded fence. The old hedge was removed and taken to a recycling facility for composting. The new 4” posts were installed into concrete filled holes. The gravel board and rails were then fitted to the posts and then the featheredge boarding was nailed to the rails. Finally the boarding was topped off with some capping. The clients are extremely pleased with the result and both sides have gained additional space.

Soakaway
The client wanted a solution to the flooding in his garden during periods of heavy rainfall. We installed a new soakaway using 2 Aquacell crates with a new gully where the flooding was at its worse. Damage to the garden was keep at a minimum and the client is extremely pleased with the result.

Garden Shed
As you can see from the photos above the clients shed was clearly in need of replacement. A new retaining wall was built to hold back loose soil which had rotted the existing shed and a level shed base installed. A new shed was then supplied and fitted. As the new shed was slightly smaller than the old one we installed a decking step at the front to make access easier.

Pizza Oven
This is an ongoing project with my brother in law to build a pizza oven. Last year we built a concrete base approx 2m square. He has since built the block work walls. We then cast a reinforced concrete slab on top for the precast oven to sit on. The oven was supplied as a kit and he is currently covering the oven with reclaimed bricks. 1st cooking took place on Sunday 19/06/2011.

River edging
Here we are installing a oak and rope edging to a concrete river jetty area. The posts are 3” x 3” green oak and they are linked at the base with 3” x 1” green oak to aid stability.

Chimney Removal
Here we removed a large chimney from a house where it was no longer being used and was taking up valuable space in a bedroom (see photos right). Over 12 tons of brickwork was removed from the roof, loft and bedroom. The hole in the roof was patched with matching roof tiles so that the repair was invisible (see photo below). The ceiling hole was plasterboarded and skimmed over. The floor was fitted with new joists and boarded over level with existing floor.

Patio Paving
This was a very special patio that we laid using Marshalls Fairstone Sawn Indian sandstone paving. The random pattern was supplied by Marshalls and was pointed with Marshalls Weatherpoint. As you can see from the photo above the colours and patterns within the slabs were superb.
